Protected Domain – Internal DNS – Intranet

Answered

Hi, we are using domain protection in our magazines and we need to have two sites. Wich one is the public site and the second is our intranet site.

With the external site we don’t have any trouble, but with the problem is with the intranet domain.

My intranet domain is “sgce.web.tecnofarma”, when I try to write this into textfield “Domain Protected” the page says:

“There was an error while updating your magazine…”

How can I set the protection to my intranet site?

Thanks.
Fernando.

Hello,

is “sgce.web.tecnofarma” a valid website/domain name?

Hi Linus,

Yes, it’s a internal domain in our network.

I don’t think that our system works with internal networks, but I will ask a developer about this.

Hi Linus,

Have you any news about it?

Is there any workaround to use domain protection in a internal network (for example using IP).
We need view the files embeded in our public site and our intranet.

Thank you.
Best Regards.

Fernando.

Hi,

I changed the domain name to subdomain.domain.com format and still not working

I think that subdomains are a well formed urls and the protection should work fine.

Is any way to set the protect domain to a subdomain?

I’ll looking forward for your answer.

Thank you, Fernando.

Did you also try to just add “domain.com”? This should be a wildcard for all subdomains.

Hi,

Yes, the publication has three domains configured, separated by comma. yumpu.com (because is recommended in the section domain protection) and the two domains in which I need to embed the document, both domain have format “domain.com”. Only works in one of the domains, and it’s not the case with subdomain.

Can I a send you the info by email? Or can you contact me (festevez@adium.com.uy) and I’ll send you the case info so you can check?
I don’t want to share the documents info publicly.
Thank you.
Fernando.
