Yumpu WP plugin activation SSL error

Hello!

After having installed & enabled WP plugin Yumpu ePaper publishing, I’m facing an error whenever applying/checking my API Token. The error message I’m receiving is:

Unknown SSL protocol error in connection to api.yumpu.com:443

What can I do to avoid/fix this error?

Is there any alternative way to activate the plugin use for my website?

Many thanks in advance.

Hello tkatsaro,

thanks for your request. Our developers just tested the plugin and it worked just fine. They guess, that your server installation might be outdated.

Best regards,
Jakob

Dear Jakob,

Thank you for answering me, I was almost certain that the plugin functionality is as it should be,  so, I intent to contact my hosting provider for further support, as well as check WP installation & possible settings/configuration that might cause the error I receive.

Greetings & best regards.

Hello Frank,

thanks for your reply. Could you please send us a short description on your error? What do you try to do and when do you get this error message. We will then have a closer look at it.

Best regards,
Jakob

Dear Frank, truth is that the plugin finally worked few days ago, after updating, deactivating & uninstalling several WP plugins, as well as enabling SSL for admin & visitors pages as well.

However, still I’m not exactly certain neither why had I kept receiving the error nor what is the specific action that helped me overcome the problem.

I should mention that, since my last post, no change was made by my hosting provider, no WP core update, no change/edit with regards to Yumpu WP plugin – at the end, it just worked, nice & easy.
